The 'Bon Viveur's are 50ft x 13ft Dutch Barge-style motor
cruisers constructed from glass-reinforced epoxy composite. Bon
Viveur 1 is powered by a Beta Marine/Iveco 5 litre 4 cylinder
diesel engine delivering 85BHP at 2100 revs, Bon Viveur 2 by
a Beta Marine/Kubota 4 cylinder diesel engine delivering 90BHP
at 2300 revs. In lieu of conventional marine gearbox, a variable
hydraulic pump drives the main propulsion motor together with
a 28HP bow thruster and a 28HP stern thruster.
